BBQGUYS SOCIAL
I joined BBQGuys in 2012, as a full time video director and producer. The brand grew exponentially over my 9+ years there, and provided lots of learning opportunities. In the beginning, we did not have any social media staff, so I also gained experience managing content creation, and everything that was needed to run the social platforms.
YOUTUBE

While at BBQGuys, I personally produced over 300 videos for the Youtube platform. These videos totaled 22,770,141 in views as of 12/9/21 and generated 114.6 years of watch time for the BBQGuys channel.

In addition to video production, I also managed the BBQGuys Youtube channel. This included everything from responding to comments, to SEO optimizing videos & tags & descriptions.
ORGANIC BRANDING

The Video I directed and produced for BBQGuys, titled "How to Grill the Perfect Steak" is an example of how powerful video branding can be for organic search. As of 12/9/21
it received 1,441,016 views totalling 7.95 years of watch time on the Youtube platform.

I chose to shoot this video on a Weber Genesis grill, so that the SEO popularity for steak and Weber would combine for viewership success. The overall viewership momentum for this video was organic, because the SEO of the video was targeted to rank in Youtube search results.
YOUTUBE AD BRANDING

I directed, Filmed & Produced a 13 episode series called "Master Grillabilities" for BBQGuys. This series started to release in July 2021, and was also utilized by our paid social team to run as longform ads on Youtube. When displayed as a "skippable video ad," these videos achieved an average of 4 minutes and 39 seconds of branded watch time. This was a great added bonus for a series that was not designed specifically for Youtube ads, but ended up holding viewer's attention for a considerable amount of time in a skippable format.

For every main longform video I produced for BBQGuys, I also edit 30 second TikToks from the video highlights. I created the most successful one of 2021 for the channel from the Master Grillability video featuring Diva Q, showing how to make an Herb Crusted Tomahawk Prime Rib Roast.
